Stabbed my right index finger over a fortnight agone and think there must exist a tiny bit of glass in information technology as it still hurts and bleeds. Dr won't look at information technology and I tin can't be bothered to traipse 12 miles to nearest casualty. Does anyone know if the glass will work its fashion out?

Might or might not . Why won't Dr look at it? He should. Drinking glass is radio opaque and so X-ray won't assist. Might need to be probed.

Endeavor using magnesium sulphate for a few days. I think it's magic - it always works for woods splinters and so might work for glass. Go it from the pharmacy, stir it and utilize with a plaster. Good luck smile

Would some magnesium sulphate plonked on top of it with a dressing over information technology be an option for you lot, apricot? That should ease it out, more than likely.

Make sure it's not infected. Keep it clean. Render to the Physician. if problem persists.

If it was a fortnight ago the pare would take grown over the peak of the initial entrance surely, so applying magnesium sulphate would only piece of work if you could open the original pigsty over again. Would yous dig around to open it up once more (I think I would!) or perhaps insist on the md looking at information technology.

I once got a tiny grain of glass in my finger. In the end I took a (new clean) arts and crafts pocketknife to my fingermade a small (quarter inch) deep incision and the ensuing bleed done information technology out.

I suppose this message should come with all sort of health warnings but 35 years on I have suffered no damage and exercise not even have a scar.

Sometimes soaking will soften up the area and let y'all ease out the offending object - its does seem a rather trivial thing for a doctors date unless infected which information technology shouldnt be if kept make clean due east.g. don't puggle well-nigh in the garden without gloves.

I've had a sliver of glass and kept the small wound open by roofing with a plaster only gently squeezing the wound every twenty-four hours, after virtually 3 days the glass worked its way out..

Thank you anybody. Been using mag. sulpf. for several days, likewise soaking and.. squeezing. It's still open up because everytime it gets touched it bleeds.
